You all have to check out this site! I was at a conference last week on Westminster's campus and the speaker for one meeting asked everyone who was able to get out their phones and use them to text their answers to various poll questions he gave us. We sat there and watched our audience's answers to his questions tally up on the board right in front of our eyes! Imagine if you could have your students take a test like that or even a poll. They would be as psyched as we all were. It was so cool! Check it out:

I think that is great! The only problem is some schools do not allow cell phones. Thanks for this info. I was looking for a site like this. Thanks for saving me the time.
ReplyDeleteMy school is also pretty strict about cell phone usage, but my principals are also pretty cool about giving special permission for things like this. I'm counting on them being cool about allowing students to use the technology they use in everyday life to do something that is for their educational good! I really feel like things like cell phones and iPods and techno things of that nature can either be a help or a hindrance. We might as well use them to our advantage and keep our students engaged at the same time!
